MW: Vocal tracks in the works!

Hey everyone-

Sorry for not posting to this thing for awhile. We have been busy in the studio doing more mixing with George & Lee, as well as tracking the rest of the instruments. We got a chance to start working intensely with Evan on "These Blues," laying down her sassy vocals. It's going to be a hot, hot track.

Stay tuned! Merry Christmas ya'll!

MW: Keep on truckin'!

Made great strides on Friday & Saturday in the studio. Horns and drums are almost completely done, with Evan's vocals on deck. Shane & Andy dropped in some more keys & bass tracks, and we're soon moving on from tracking to mixing. Jeff has some more guitar to drop in, and collectively we have to finish 'Two Candles.' We're pushing to complete our EP by late December/early January.

Come to the Knitting Factory this Saturday, November 17th! The Change hits at 8pm, don't miss it. :)

MW: Horns n' Things, FRIDAY

Going back into Melodia Sound in Weymouth, MA on Friday morning and afternoon to begin tracking saxophone & trumpet. We'll also be running a few more bass & keys takes on "Daydream," "Hope of You," "Mr. Default," & "Two Candles". Things are starting to shape up nicely, stay tuned!

MB: Hot ass tracks

So we laid down some simmering hot, wet, tight tracks last weekend that I'm really excited about. I put down "Daydream", "These Blues", "Hope of You" and "Two Candles." Two of these tunes are up on the myspace as live recordings, so that will give you a little taste of what is to come. The 5 song CD should be pretty diverse, with some nasty disco, reggae, a ballad, and some other chill stuff. Next session I will take some pics and put them up. Peace/Fonk.

MW: Let's Get Fired Up

Hey everyone!

Thanks for visiting us on our studio blog. Hopefully we can get some cool pictures and stories up here from our experiences in the studio. Our first weekend went really well, laying down most of the rhythm tracks - some work to go still but getting some nice tones out of the instruments!

Stay tuned for posts by the other band members coming soon!

Cheers,
Mike
